Kern County, CA – Author Adam Rendon, who’s written a book about his abusive father and upbringing as a child is putting finishing touches on his book, “The Vallie.”

“I spelled The Valley ‘The Vallie”, because like the book I had to lie about my life not only to friends, and family, but social workers and authorities,” said Rendon.

Rendon grew up in the small urban town of Lamont, CA just southeast of Bakersfield, where crime was high along with unemployment.

“I want people to read my story so they can learn from my mistakes that it is not right to lie, and that you lose your self esteem, confidence and even your friends,” he said.  Rendon recently was interviewed at the Los Angeles Times Book Festival at USC by Univision, which is on Channel 34 in Los Angeles. He was also interviewed live on KRLA 870 AM with radio Host Warren Eckstein.

Rendon talks about his experiences and gives us a short insight as to why he wrote his book.

relationships, and cope with two gory deaths in the family.
